If you’re 14 - 20 and curious about the fire service, you’ll step into hands-on training, build real teamwork skills, learn emergency response basics, and experience what it means to show up when your community needs you most.

The courage we teach our young firefighters to run toward danger, to protect others, and to serve without hesitation is a reflection of the sacrifice made by our fallen heroes.
At JFI, students ages 14 - 20 are introduced to the fundamentals of the fire service through hands-on training and structured learning. The program is designed to help members explore what a career in firefighting and emergency services looks like 🔥
Each session combines classroom instruction with practical skills training at the Milwaukee Fire Department Training Academy.
Our instructors, active firefighters who volunteer their time, help guide members every step of the way.
